Week 2 Done, Up to 4.5miles!!!!!!

I should clarify that the 4.5 miles is 2/3 running and 1/3 walking lol but I'm getting better! The first day of this week was the first time I had to do 2 minute running segments-not that bad the first few times, but once I got to #6 I couldn't hold my "run" pace-it turned into that marathon "jog" pace lol. I was tired! But when I finished I felt so happy that I had traveled a mile farther than the previous week!

The second day I was so happy that my routine took me back to 1 minute runs, because I was still bodily tired. I started my second job so "work wise" I had no days off. I was mentally tired and both my jobs are at restaurants so I'm on my feet all day, so I really felt like my  body did have a proper recovery day. So after work I was going to do this run, because there isn't anyway I could have woken up at 4 am to get it done haha.

Unfortunately, but totally awesome, is while you train at a restaurant they pay for your lunch because they want you to learn the menu. Well, I got the protein omelet with extra veggies and an English muffin, and I think the muffin was a BAD idea! I've been trying to stay away from wheat and when I do eat it I try for only whole grain, well this wasn't. From that point on I was uncomfortable, extremely.

I hate to go into too much detail but I felt bloated and couldn't use the restroom. When I got home I thought running would help me... Well it didn't, it just made what should have been an easy run very uncomfortable. It was like I had side cramps from drinking water, but I knew they were painful gas bubbles. I couldn't wait to just get home and lie down! ha-ha But there wasn't any time for that ether. Actually at the end of my run a lot of the pressure was released.... enough said!

I was looking ahead on the calendar and logging my next couple runs that I've signed up for, to keep me motivated and sort of put my money where my mouth is kind of thing, and I realized with work getting my runs in as they are now wont work with my schedule. So I made today instead of a rest day my run day. This way I will be doing my runs on days that I don't have to be up crazy early, and I'm not closing the night before, and I should be able to actually rest on my rest days-well for half the day anyway lol.

So today and yesterday I ran, I'm don't recommend it, I was very tired today. But, luckily for me yesterday I signed up for my first mud run! It's not till April but thinking about it gave me more energy as I imagined myself powering through the obstacle courses and climbing walls and leaping over roof tops... ok the last one I won't be doing but I watched spider man 2 days ago and who wouldn't want to leap over buildings? I always thought it would be cool being one of those stunt people who chase after cars and climb building walls and fly through tiny bars like its nothing! So when I was running I was just thinking I can't do those things now but I'm building my endurance so maybe one day I will be able to!

I wonder if anyone else trains out there to be a super human....
